The Italian football club, Juventus, has been hit by yet another injury blow as defender Mattia De Sciglio is set to miss the remainder of the season with a knee injury.

De Sciglio joined Juve from Parma in January and made his debut for the Serie A champions against Napoli on September 26th. However, he suffered a setback when he was stretchered off during the game and later diagnosed with a knee ligament tear.

With the injury, De Sciglio will now be out for at least six months and could miss the rest of the season. This is not good news for Juventus, who are currently second in Serie A behind league leaders Inter Milan.

Juventus have already lost key players like Leonardo Bonucci and Paulo Dybala to injuries this season, and now they face a further blow. The team will have to rely on their other defenders such as Leonardo Spinazzola and Danilo to fill the void left by De Sciglio.

This injury comes just days after the club lost another key player, defender Ruggero Iaria, to a similar injury. Iaria sustained an ankle ligament injury while playing for the Italy national team against Spain in a friendly match last week.

It is clear that Juventus are going through a tough time with injuries and it will take some time for them to get back to their best form. With De Sciglio out for the rest of the season, it remains to be seen how the team will cope without him.
